EDIT: SORRY, I wasn't really satisfied with what I put up yesterday because I felt that the work was kind of half-assed towards the end. SO I went and made some BIG changes. Sorry to those who FAVED it for the full picture, if you want it note me and I can send it to you, but yea, I'm a lot happier with the newer version and the blue tint.
I'm FINALLY done with the gift art I promised a LONG time ago for my friend Nour. Sorry it took so long and that I only drew fuji, I wasn't creative enough to draw both of them hehe.
This is a NEW painting technique for me. I used PAINTER 8 for the first time, I must say, I really like it and it didn't take me nearly as long as I did with photoshop.
Painter's awesome, but I still don't know too much about it. Which explains the LACK OF BACKGROUND because after I did everything on painter with the digital waterbrush tool, I realized that the parts where I erased with "water erase" showed up as WHITE areas. It would take me waaay to long to remove all the white from the layer, so I just left the background white.
Personally, I feel good about this piece, because I've always wanted to try this new watercolor style, I finally did it, and it didn't come out horrible either. Comments/faves/critiques welcome!
medium: Painter 8 and Photoshop
time: 4 hours (I work slow, I know)
Fuji is not owned by me, he's property of Konomi
